I had the Mix & Match ($7), which includes a variety of Thai Fried Banana, Yam Fritters, Sweet Potato Fritters, Sweet Potato Balls, and Purple Sweet Potato Balls. You can choose up to 9 items from this mix-and-match. If you're unsure what to get, you can always let the shop assistant select for you.
I was quite impressed with its crunchiness as I took the first bite. The loud crunch echoed through my mouth as I chewed the fritters. The fragrant, coconutty batter provided a nice crunchy texture and a mellow sweetness. The sesame seeds added a subtle nutty flavour. True to their claim, the fritters tasted oil-free, with a clean, non-greasy finish.
The Thai fried banana was soft and sweet with a fruity flavour. The yam and sweet potato fritters had a nice bite, showcasing their natural flavours, while the batter added a pleasant texture and taste. The sweet potato balls, both regular and purple, were fairly standard but had a puffy and chewy texture. I’ll definitely be getting their fritters again next time I’m back.
