Juicy and huge wantons that sat in a plate of black vinegar and chilli. Though written as fiery chilli oil, this version is unlike the usual Szechuan chilli oil dumplings. This had a good amount of black vinegar, and the chilli was dashed atop the wantons for that added spicy kick. Evidently, the chilli already looks different from the usual chilli oil โ€” but more on the red (belachan) paste. Nonetheless, the chilli was good, but just not enough! Would have appreciated if this whole dish was elevated to be even spicier with more of their chilli paste.
