Given the limited choices available on BB for Sunday lunch around CBD area, we found ourselves at Noods & Meats.
Got the Bae Noods and Bebek Noods (which we changed to rice). Bebek was supposed to be roasted duck confit, but it was unlike any other confit I've ever had - meat was tough, dry and did not fall off the bone. The only saving grace was its smoky flavour and that it had the right amount of charred bits.
Bae Noods didn't fare much better either. Granted, the noods did taste like nice, atas ban mian, but the beef brisket was lacklustre. Honestly, all we could taste was the fat which was too rubbery. Truffle taste and aroma was surprisingly strong. Note that the portions are quite small.
They had really good service though; although BB listed their opening hours as 11am, they actually only open at 12pm, but the staff let us order anyway.
Spent $22 for 2 dishes and an iced coffee (which tasted like instant coffee).
Really wanted to like this place, but it fell short of my (already very low) expectations. Don't think I will return.
