Officially open from tonight, @park90.sg is the newest spot in town catering to wine drinkers, and in particular, the oenophiles.
Interestingly, its existence materialises only at 6pm everyday as Park90 takes over half of the Tea Lounge located on the ground level of @regentsingapore.
Although they are Singapore’s first & only fine wine bar to serve the Château Pétrus and Domaine de la Romanee-Conti by the glass, and specialise in wines with an RP rating of around 90 and above, Park90 also stocks bottles of wine starting from a down-to-earth price tag of $59. This is in line with the company’s aim to make a huge variety of great and good wines accessible. Just speak to Head Sommelier Mason for recommendations.
I am pleased to report that this wine bar subscribes to the school of thought that when you drink well, you must also eat well. Which is why they have a carefully thought out food menu filled with tempting Western and Asian options including dishes from Basilico and one Michelin starred Summer Palace.
We got to try a few items and the must-order in my opinion, is the “Ovenbaked Focaccia with Norcia’s Black Truffle and three cheeses of Robiola, Provolone and Pecorino” ($24++).
The other dishes that I liked were the “Italian Cheese Platter with Condiments and Truffle Honey” ($27++), the “Fried Frog Legs” ($30++) by Chinese Head Chef of Summer Palace Liu Ching Hai and the “Singapore Hokkien Noodles with Seafood, Pork and Egg” ($24++).
If you are a regular wine drinker, you can visit www.park90.com to check out their annual membership plans priced at $5,000 and $10,000.
