had the Assam Laksa (SGD$11.90), as planned - rice wheat noodles in tamarind fish broth topped with local mackerel fish, sliced cucumber and onions.

The Nasi Lemak (SGD$13.90), consisting of aromatic steamed coconut rice, chicken curry, sambal ikan bilis, dried shrimp floss, half a hard-boiled egg, azar (picked vegetables) and fresh cucumber slices.
