I LOVE chocolate, and was quite excited to give this a try. The platters are $14 each, but used Burpple Beyond to try the pastry and ice cream platters. Enjoyed the smooth ice cream and identifying the different tastes of each origin (70% Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic). While it’s described as single origin dark chocolate ice cream, it was sweeter and lighter than anticipated.
The pastry platter was underwhelming, with a single tiny piece of cream puff (65% Grenada), salted dark chocolate blondie (70% Costa Rica), dark chocolate sablés with tea caramel ganache (70% Cuba), and dark chocolate mousse with earl grey crumble and passion fruit chocolate (70% Dominican Republic). The first three were average, while the chocolate mousse is worth a try for those who prefer dessert to be less sweet. Otherwise, I’d suggest to give this a miss.
Will be back again for the ice cream, and to try their chocolate drinks!
