The Tonkotsu Smoke & Pepper ($13.90) was something I've never seen nor tasted before till Konjiki came along. If you've had smoked duck before, this is the aroma it exudes when the bowl of ramen was placed on the table. The smokiness only gets stronger when you drink the soup, with specks of black pepper for occasional accents of spice. Amusing on the first few mouthfuls, but the taste may get overwhelming towards to end.
