I have always been meaning to check out the Burnt Cones at Sunset Way but Covid well got in the way.

I was therefore excited to check out their stall at #artbox2023. For $10, you get two scoops of ice cream in a cup with dry ice below it for the gram and to slow down the melting.

They recommended that we check out their signature dark chocolate and pistachio gelatos. The dark chocolate was decadent, velvety and rich with a nice bittersweet afternote whereas the pistachio was rich, fragrant and smooth.

I preferred their Sicilian bronte pistachio gelato as it is intensely woody, nutty and flavourful. The only issue we had with their gelatos was that it was a little too sweet for our liking and got cloying in the end.

Perhaps we should have gotten the #BurppleBeyond 1-for-1 junior scoop for $4 instead! 🤣🤣🤣
