Fong Lye is perpetually blessed with long queues and an unending stream of customers. Before I got to dine here, I always thought it was preposterous — how good could Taiwanese food be? Turns out, pretty damn good. Served with three sides dishes that typically consists of a dessert and two vegetables, most things on the menu has its allure. I especially enjoyed my Three Varieties of Supreme Diced Chicken (RM24.30) that offered punchy flavours with tender chicken thigh and a dark, spicy sauce. The set also comes with boiled soup and minced pork-topped rice, a Taiwan classic. Set aside the pricey drinks, this place has earned a place on my list of favourites.
