Quick pre-movie lunch. The Donburi stall here does not seem to sell proper Donburi; more of Stone Pot Rice. Honestly, it's pretty decent if standards are not set too high; garlic rice was not too flavourful as it was not really fried nor had charred bits for a crunch, but still nonetheless delicious in its own right. Grilled chicken was seasoned in Teriyaki sauce, and the drizzling of Mentaiko sauce adds a mayo-like savouriness to the chicken. The egg turned out a bit disappointing being pan-fried rather than the way it was illustrating, but still comforting. A dish that was not truly Japanese, but not too bad to consider for a comforting yet affordable food in a convenient location for Northsiders.
