By sheer misfortune, we were a tad late and they have sold out their famous Ferrero Reveal by the time we were there on the last day evening. However, Lady Luck was shining on us and they did a limited time collaboration with Black Star Pastry (also another participant of the event) to introduce the Cake Smash Gelato in which they smashed the strawberry watermelon cakes from Black Star Pastry before freezing it with liquid nitrogen to create a smooth velvety gelato. Topped with pistachios and dried rose petals, this is a creation of the famous Strawberry Watermelon Cake in a gelato form. The syringe that’s filled with strawberry compote brings the gelato to another level by giving it a refreshing burst of flavours. They should totally make this a permanent item in both of their cafes!
