Popular among Singaporeans, @roastandcoffee offers an extensive menu of homely dishes and coffee that is fit for every meal of the day! We find their dishes quite tasty while some have their misses.
The Salted Egg Chicken Fried Rice (RM14.90) was very indulgent. With a huge portion of crispy chicken cutlet, the cutlet pieces were well drenched with salted egg sauce which was very rich and umami! Perfect with some rice.
Their Fried Fish Soup (RM14.90) came in a humongous portion as well. Although I can taste the fish broth well, I feel like they put abit too much milk in this. Not bad but you probably can find better elsewhere.
When you thought we had enough salted eggs, we had to order their Salted Egg Fries (~RM7.90). The sauce used is the same as that in their chicken rice, and the fries were abit too hard. Seems undercooked as the colour of the fries was too light.
Finally for drinks, I definitely recommend the Coconut Hor Kar Sai (RM7.90). A mixture of Milo and Coffee, it was a very delightful blend of flavours. Love how coconut flavours were infused in this too and it isn't too overpowering!
I think this is a can eat, although I feel like food standards at Tong Guan are better. If there is a queue, I think can skip 😂
