Choux Puff filled with both Salted Caramel and Chocolate Cream. I told myself to order one pastry, but this Choux just kept staring in my face while I was having the Blanc. It's not really the pastry that it is about here; it feels rather dry, and felt a bit close to cookie-like on some areas while other areas were a bit spongy — the amount of chocolate cream and salted caramel does balance out the slightly dry texture of the puff though. The chocolate cream was rather rich and had a little bittersweetness to it and quite matches the salted caramel flavours which were nicely balanced — tastefully salty and felt quite butterscotch-like. A little surprise awaits as you get to the middle of the Choux pastry; a chocolate ball filled with salted caramel sits inside — thick, rich and smooth salted caramel that's just insanely indulging when you take your first bite in.
