So yes, it is loaded with probiotic health benefits!
I make my own milk kefir at home with two main ingredients.
1⃣ Kefir starter grains
2⃣ Fresh milk
The taste of final milk kefir varies according on the type of milk used and the length of time it is cultured. In tropical climate, it takes 8 - 12 hours under room temperature. Longer during rainy days when the room temperature is slightly cooler.
After trying various brand of fresh milk, my most preferred brand is Greenfields Fresh Low Fat Milk. It gives me the light smooth consistency. If I want a creamier texture, I will put my milk kefir into the fridge overnight before consumption. Alternatively, blend it with fruits to turn into smoothie!
