From the newly opened KOKI Tamagoyaki at the basement of Raffles City Shopping Centre beside Chewy Junior. While they are known for their made-to-order Tamagoyaki with toppings when they were situated at Takashimaya as a pop-up (it's also cheaper now at Raffles City; saw the menu and found out that it starts from $9.90 onwards), they also offer Choux under their Shuu by KOKI line which carries four flavours — Matcha, Black Sesame, Bourbon Vanilla and Coffee. The exterior are cookie-like while being crusty like how a good Choux pastry is — between the two the Matcha would work well with green tea fanatics as the green tea powder gives it a very tasteful bitter aroma while the matcha cream helps balance it with it a rich yet aptly sweet flavour. My favourite of the two would be the Black Sesame however — a creamy, smooth and roasty black sesame cream within a Choux pastry with a sesame-speckled exterior that helps enhances both the texture and flavour overall. Each puffs goes for $4.30, but there is an ongoing promotion where a box of three would go for $12 — slightly pricey but worth a try!
