The wonders of Tomas Morato and Timog always lie in each of their corners. One of which is a house turned restaurant of Sct. Tuazon- Romulo's Cafe. Which is a heritage of late diplomat Carlos P. Romulo. They provide fine dining experience that serves Filipino dishes inspired by it's own ancestry. I've been dying to try this out the moment we passed by it and saw it on tv and now finally we got a reason to dine and it's for my post bday dinner with the Magali family. On top of my list was the flying tilapia but unfortunately its not available (sad) But anyhow we had Pinoy Nachos for appetizer which is a joy to eat because its not the typical style and its sweet potato and taro chips with white cheese, quezo de bola and tomatoes so its very Filipino like. Then we had Pomelo and Caesar Salad. And for the entrée we had Crispy Pork Binagoongan, Bagnet Pakbet, Mixed Bicol Express, The Generals Chicken(which I didn't like because its too salty),Baby Pusit in Garlic, Sinigang na Salmon sa Miso and the dish for the night for me was Tito Greg's Kare-Kare its has the perfect thickness and creaminess of its sauce. #111514 #chelley@25
