Hence, "年年有余" is wishing someone that one will have more than what one needs (Eg. Wealth, health, friendship). Hence, due to the identical sounds of 余 and 鱼 (fish), this makes the latter an important dish to have during Chinese New Year dinner.
In this case, it is a container of yummy snacks, made using fish and seaweed. It isn't the lunar new year yet but I'm on to my 2nd bottle! 😂 Eating these all by myself!!! It is that addictive and delish!!
