Ordered both the spicy and non-spicy frog leg since they cost the same to have one or two in the same claypot. The non-spicy version uses dark soya sauce, ginger and spring onions while the spicy version has the addition of dried chilli in the sauce. The frog meat is cooked till tender and it soaks up the thick and rich sauce well. I like to drizzle the sauce over the thick, smooth and gooey porridge for more flavours. Overall, I preferred the non-spicy version for its original flavours. The dried chilli in the spicy version somehow overpowers the original flavours of the sauce.
The fried oyster omelette is fried till crispy with a gooey starchy centre and comes with a good serving of oysters. The ratio of eggs to starch was just nice, not overly starchy and pairs well with the tangy chilli sauce.
