After starting our evening at Savour 2016, a bunch of us made our way to a cheese and wine event hosted by Morgane and Jean Baptiste of @la_petite_boutique_sg at Visionairs Gallery Asia. Over there, we hit the big table spread with assorted French cheeses hard. The selection was impressive and everyone had their favourites.
My top picks were the Triple Brie and the Morbier (that's the pale orange coloured half wheel of cheese at the bottom of my photo). I really enjoyed the mild nutty flavour of this seasonal semi-hard cheese. By the way, that grey streak running horizontally across it is ash!
Jean Baptiste who co-owns La Petite Boutique, explained to me that this particular cheese was actually born out of a necessity. Do have him share the details of its history with you when you drop by their shop in Serangoon Gardens. It's fascinating.
