I am admittedly one of those who frown upon those who orders the "peripheral/ alternative" main course at restaurants who specializes in certain dishes e.g. fish item at steakhouse, steak at seafood restaurant and pasta at pizzeria. But this order changed my perception completely. Was not a big fan or pizzas without cheese in the first place, hence decided on this alternative. But, to my surprise I did not regret it. The black pepper sauce gives it the oriental twist. Garlic was generously used and they fried some with some chopped shrimps into the sauce. Good thing the sauce was not overpowering or overflowing (can't stand pasta with too much sauce, rule #1. Pasta sauce are jelat (rich) so dun overkill it). I like the way they grilled the prawns instead of "cooking it till it's cooked", perhaps the pizza oven does come in useful here. Topping it off, ikura (salmon roe) and chopped tomato gives this the "icing to the cake" (I was told in French it is described as "butter is to bread") effect. Perfecto!
