The oneh oneh waffles comes with two pieces of pandan flavoured Belgian liege waffles, served with toasted coconut flakes and salted gula melaka sauce. A resemblance to a deconstructed version of the Peranakan kueh, the addition of the salted gula melaka sauce and toasted coconut flakes added a characteristic tinge of sweetness and a crisp, fibrous texture respectively. On the other hand, the pandan waffles had a pleasant lingering aroma, with a soft, cake-y texture that unfortunately lacks the crisp factor I would have adore. The teh peng softserve was smooth albeit slightly icy, with a subtle tea flavour that could have been more distinct. Though it wasn’t too milky nor sweet, the ‘teh’ wasn’t ‘gao’ enough and felt somewhat diluted... Less ‘peng’ (ice) please 🙏🏻😬 .
