History of hot cross buns goes all the way back to when it was used to honor Good Friday and over the years now, a symbol & tradition of Easter weekend, besides just bunnies and Easter eggs 🤪🙈 • Just had to share this limited edition, Hot Cross Buns from @universal_bakehouse Surface beautiful glazed, filled with raisins & a good refreshing spread of cream cheese to go with • Lucky to have gotten my hands on em precious buns this morning, the smell of it fresh first thing in the morning was as perfect as each bite !
Another (overdue) post for this bakery that has been getting lots of nod and approval from sourdough & carbs lovers • Crispy bite into each different type of sourdough’s crust with a nice chew into it & top that with some heavy-rich pistachio hummus.
