Something caught my eye as I was walking past. Brightly coloured macarons from Haisosaetii. I did not know that the store that specialises in chocolates also crafted macarons.
However, after indulging in them I can say that they did not live up to my expectations. One of the signs of a bad macaron is air bubbles and these shells were brittle and crumbled easily. My other qualm was their size. For $2.50 a macaron ($2.80 if you buy less than 4), I had hoped for something slightly bigger. Lastly, the filling were not firm enough and squeezed out the edges the moment I bit into them.
That said, not all was bad. The shells were smooth and flavours were true. In addition, there were not overly sweet.
