Raining days calls for some hot soupy food like prawn noodles. This is the one I had yesterday, after a long drive to Loyang and another one-hour queue.
🔸
Pictured is the dry version of their prawn noodles, and it is very good. The sambal was strong and savoury and not too spicy, while the sauce came with enough shallots for the fragrance. And there was more than enough sauce to coat the noodles from start to finish.
🔸
And this was served with a big bowl of prawn broth. The broth was very rich broth - filled with flavour from prawns and pork bones. It was sweet but leaned towards being too sweet, and quite a bit of MSG was used. Overall, still a potent bowl of soup.
🔸
Also remember to add an additional dollar for that runny lava egg, and another $1 for generous amount pork skin (not pictured in this bowl) which is fried till it's like fish maw.
