Missed out on trying Kok Keong’s pork soup due to our appointment at the husky cafe, but our later lunch at this roadside stall (called ‘Fishcake and Yam Stall’ on google maps) we came across nearby made up for it. It was my first time trying rojak Malaysian-style, and I definitely prefer it to the versions in SG. All that deep fried goodness plus the sticky, savoury sauce made from a fantastic combination. Within the small makeshift hut where this stall was located, there were also a pancake stall and a drinks stall, which doled out refreshing and cheap coconut drinks. A most random, unplanned meal that was extremely satisfying (the atmosphere, sitting side by side with random uncles eating their rojak also added to the experience)
