Amidst the hype, I had high expectations of this roast meat joint. But I was disappointed. At a hefty price tag of $8.80 for two meats (before taxes), this plate was lackluster in every way. The char siew in particular was a huge letdown. Despite its beautiful glazed appearance, I can only describe it as being burnt and hard. The rice too, was hard and dry. Perhaps the only saving grace was the roast pork, which had a good balance of fat and meat, and was sinfully tasty. Did I order the wrong items? I probably won't be back to find out when there are many other options that cost half the price. 🌟🌟
