I placed an order for a Tall Hot Yuzu Tea via Starbucks App at 6:32pm (Estimated preparation time of 3–7 minutes as indicated by app)
However, my order was not attended to until approximately 6:47pm. This is 15 minutes after it was placed.
During this time, I observed the male staff member serving customers who ordered at the counter, including one customer at around 6:45pm, while my mobile order remained unattended.
When he finally prepared my order, he made the wrong drink, serving me a cold Yuzu Tea instead of the hot version that I had ordered.
As a result, I waited 15 minutes for a mobile order that was supposed to be ready within 3–7 minutes, only to have it prepared incorrectly on the first attempt.
I immediately informed him that the order was incorrect. He then re-made the drink.
When he served it to me, there was no apology. It was as if everything was very normal.
The purpose of ordering through the Starbucks App is to save customers time. In this instance, the mobile ordering process failed to deliver that convenience.
The delay, coupled with the incorrect order, reflects a lapse in both order management and quality control.
I have attached my order details together with a photo of the staff member involved
