Decided to check this out because a friend was telling me about their bagels here. It's a long journey here no doubt, but I have always liked the serenity of Quayside Isle and the view here — a good break from the hustle and bustle from mainland (and certainly a good destination for those who can set some time out to come here).
The New Yorker is a Bagel sandwich which comes with fried eggs and melted cheddar cheese — the bacon comes as an option for $3 an it's a must for me; it helps to add that savoury flavour and crispness to the entire package that adds taste and texture to what's already there. I opted for the garlic bagel which comes crusted with garlic chips; every bite comes a little garlicky, eggy, savoury with a hint of cracked pepper and all that's just so simple and satisfying. I find the Bagel Sandwich here pretty decent for smaller eaters — it's usually something I tend to avoid because it can get me really filled and bloated; the bread here however comes adequately dense and the Bagel also not being too huge/thick. All that makes for a manageable sandwich suited for one, with the bread bringing just enough bite without being overwhelmingly carbo-loaded. Perfect for a slow brunch while enjoying the view of the parked yachts just right beside — a very relaxing and mesmerizing environment.
