My first experience at Changi airport T2’s outlet a few months for the original Pearl milk tea softserve left a positive impression that I wouldn’t mind heading back for repeated visits. Back then, the milk tea softserve was smooth, creamy and thick, with a lingering aromatic tea flavour that was prominently distinct amidst the subtle milky undertone. Though the portion might seem small, it was actually sufficient (or maybe even abundant) for 1 given it’s thick, creamy texture that might get a tad overwhelming after awhile. The lingering fragrance of the luscious tea flavour left me impressed as tbh I personally feel it’s one of the best milk tea softserve I’ve had in Singapore! ✨I love how the tea flavour is lingering, fragrant without being too milky. However, on my recent trip to Suntec city’s outlet, a spoonful of the Tie Guan Yin softserve was all it takes to disregard my positive thoughts and memories of the milk tea softserve. Not too sure if it’s the difference in consistency among the 2 outlets but the texture here was slightly icy, lacking the creamy factor and most importantly, the tea flavour was much milder than before. Both the flavour and texture were the major factors that warrants me from making anymore repeated visits for this softserve .
