I’m on a hunt to find some decent French toast in Singapore after @ronin.sg and @boufesg closed, and sadly Sarnies’ 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙘𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙝 𝙏𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩 (~$22.50) was not up to par.

When looking for French toast, I’m looking for a strong eggy and custardy presence. Sarnies’ was none of that. A hard, tough and thick brioche toast wasn’t easy on the jaws, and I missed the whole eggy component. ☹️

There’s only so much generous toppings can do: though their Choco crumbs and fresh berries could nearly mask up some of my disappointment.
