A few components are worth applauding: the butterscotch ice cream was smooth and rich, with a wonderful buttery, caramel-y flavour; and the salted toffee sauce had a great balance of flavours and was served piping hot. The star of the show however, was way too dry, exceedingly dense, and hardly warmed up at all. The centre of the cake was still a tad chilled, which really isn’t what you want in a sticky date pudding. Suffice to say I went with high expectations, and left with that utterly deflated. They are currently operating on takeaways and deliveries, and if you do head down (I don’t think this is on the menu now anyway) I’d definitely recommend going for their cheeseburger instead: it is a real winner.
