The Kouign-amann were evenly crisp and caramelized layers rich in the stated flavour. We preferred the earthy 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐣𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚 (4.5 ⭐️; $4.80) over the 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐳𝐮𝐨𝐤𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐚 (3.5 ⭐️; $4.80). The latter while fragrant, was a tad too sweet for our palette.
