If you are intending to get the signature Eat 3 Bowls set, do be sure to come on an empty stomach as this is a lot more filling than it looks! For $15, you get to try their braised pork rice, shredded chicken rice and intestines oyster mee sua, albeit at slightly smaller portions than if you had ordered the dishes a la carte.
The highlight was certainly the braised pork rice, as it came with just the right proportion of lean and fatty meat. Too much lean meat wouldn't make the dish shiok, while too much fatty meat would make the dish quite gelat. This was topped with sauce that used both light and dark soy sauce.
The shredded chicken rice was a surprise, as nobody would think of a dish that seems commonplace in Singapore. However, the chicken was pretty tender and the rice was lightly soyed, so this was a pretty interesting take on chicken rice, and should certainly not be compared with Hainanese chicken rice.
Oyster intestine mee sua came with a generous serving of intestines and mee sua, although it would be great if there was more vinegar in the gravy! Do eat this bowl first as this dish is not nice once the gravy has cooled down.
Be prepared to queue if you are coming on a weekend for lunch, even at odd hours (e.g. 2 pm)! However, the situation is slightly better on weekdays especially if you are in the area for lunch!
