This has got to be one of the cheapest ramen places in town. I'm not talking light shoyu/miso clear broths, this is full-on tonkatsu broth jazzed up with flavours like black garlic, thunder spicy and basil. The shop is simple, service adequate and the ramen, awesome. The Shi Shi Ramen comes with pork shoulder slices, black fungus and a close-to-perfect ajitsuke egg. Got this with the black garlic pork soup. While the garlic flavour isn't overpowering, it melds well with the essence of pork bones for a balanced savoury soup. Highly recommend laying on the crispy fried garlic for extra crunch.
