A great sharing platter of 2 trios of tapas on bread consisting of Muhammara (a Syrian spread with grilled red peppers, Cashew, panko and pomegranate molasses), basil tofu mousse, and black olive tapenade, as well as two samosas, D E L U X E nachos topped with vegetables of the day, mozzarella, cheddar and a dish of salsa.

This is actually enough to share among 3-4 people, and it’s priced really affordably. Dig into the nachos while they’re not, and slather on some salsa for extra flavour (especially if you like onions). The nachos are also good on their own with the cheese, and the vegetables add their own natural sweetness plus a different kind of crunch to the mix. The tapas was disappointing - I enjoyed the Muhammara the most because of its bold flavours and aroma, but the black olive tapenade was so muted, and the basil tofu mousse just tasted like unsalted butter to me. These were all spread on an evening bread loaded with nuts and grains, but it’s a dense dark bread that some Singaporeans might not be used to. The samosas were surprisingly really really good. The pastry crust was fluffier and crispier than an Old Chang Kee curry puff, and the mix of potatoes, veggies and spices were super aromatic and tantalising.

This is a perfect platter for sharing with friends and family over drinks or a meal. I would 100% recommend dropping by - get the Shimsha Platter for the most value, but order ala carte and get the house-made nachos, samosas, and try their other food if you want to skip the lacklustre tapas.

Note that this eatery is vegetarian, not that it matters because the food is sooooo good.
