Basically I was attracted by the little crowd (proven all queue in SG is the essence to biz success π). Anyway, the Shibuya toast with ice-cream has surprised me, I was wondering why is it so different from the normal thick toast until I looked into the menu again, since it is named Shibuya toast probably they are using japanese bread that is softer and similar to brioche π€, that's how it becomes so silkily crispy after toasting. Although the topped vanilla ice-cream is not the milky type that I like the whip cream is meant to be there to complete the dish by adding on some notes of buttery saltiness, go along with little maple syrup, definitely worth a try with that price.
As for the spinach quiche, I am not a pie person but I was able to finish almost the whole piece by myself as it is overall lighter, unlike the usual quiche often stuffed with too much unnecessary fillings. Less greasy and most importantly it's just out of oven! π
I saw too many were having the almond bostock, hopefully will be back soon to try up. ππ°ππ» #HappyWeekendExploring #kandaharstreet #dongpocolonialcafe #nostalgiasingapore #shibuyatoast #colonialstyle #oldschoolcafe #spinachquiche #justoutofoven #eatoutsg #lovinsingapore #instafood_sg #sgcafefood #exsgcafes #sundaygram #exploresingaporecafes #hungrygowhere #burpple #sgmakandiary #myfab5 #dessert_lover #HungryCeo #sgfoodies #singaporeinsiders #sglife #travellingfoodie #traditionalconfectionery
