✨Milk ice cream served with two long sticks of churros, this was retailing at one of the food kiosks at Gwangju World Cup stadium during SBS inkigayo concert. Pricing may be a tad steep but I did enjoy it and it was worth the queue and wait imo! The churros are coated with cinnamon sugar which doesn’t a prominent cinnamon spice flavour, thankfully for me since I am one who despise cinnamon. Prepared freshly upon order, the churros are deep fried to an ideal crisp perfection on its exterior, with a soft, fluffy interior which wasn’t too oily or greasy as well! 👍🏻 The milk ice cream was a great companion to the hot churros, not too cloying or milky, a perfect hot-and-cold combination in a cup! 💕
2️⃣Spicy seasoned chicken skewer [3500krw ~> $4.20]
Again from a random stall along the streets in Gwangju, this seasoned chicken skewer is marinated in a spicy Yangnyeom sauce with alternating layers of crunchy leeks. The chicken are chargrilled to a slightly crisp exterior on its skin, along with tender and succulent meat. The spicy Yangnyeom sauce would be good for those who adore spice, coming with a prominent albeit not overwhelming spice factor that was spot on (at least so for me), the main highlight here that makes me crave for another stick of this skewer! 🔥 .
