After trying Beauty in a Pot, we just had to try Tsukada Nojo to see who fared better. Tsukada charges by 'per head' and serves a fixed portion for every person. The ingredients are mostly vegetables (zucchini, baby corn, cabbage, black fungus etc) alongside with 3 meats (chicken, minced pork and prawns). The original broth comes served in curds, which would then melt away into a creamy chicken broth, which tastes very close to chicken ramen soup. Upon adding the vegetables etc, the chicken flavour would tone down, becoming more balanced with the sweetness of the vegetables. $25++ per head and the portion was definitely more than sufficient for one. Between the 2 pots, it's difficult to pick a winner. But I might probably go with Beauty in a Pot for the wider variety of dishes and free flow soup to top up the pot.
