Managed to catch up with @damien_tc before the cafe closed, when the landlord asking for a double increased in rental.

This has got to be the MOST GAO (as the name suggests) & BEST MATCHA tart I’ve ever had, handmade with love by @bemyguestcafe and meticulously plated by @damien_tc ✨.

A place to chill and hang out.

[Purple Sweet Potato Tart~$8]

I like how the tart wasn't overly sweet and sugar-laden, allowing me to fully savour the natural sweetness and flavour of purple sweet potato ☺️ As much as you might not want to do so, cut into the pretty tart to reveal a layer of soy pudding with actual bits of purple sweet potato~ a combination that worked surprisingly well, with the subtle soy fragrance welding seamlessly with the sweet potato paste 😋
So in love with the bakes at @bemyguestcafe i feel the need to have my regular fix of their pastries but alas, they are ceasing operations from 15th April 😭 I only pray that they return soon, and perhaps in a more accessible location for me 😅

So they call this the Matcha Gao, and seriously I don't think theres any better name for this...Easily one of the best matcha tart I've ever had😌

That perfectly crumbly tart shell that wasn't too hard nor soft paired together with the rich and creamy matcha filling which blew me away with its intensity 😍 I could eat this everyday....
