Ordering in Quebec can be an adventure, as some of the staff, even at chains like Tim Hortons, don’t speak English. We finally managed to order by lots of gesturing, and with the help of another staff member.

Jumping on board the egg bites/mini omelettes train, Tim Hortons has two variants available. The Cheese and Spinach, as well as the Bacon and Cheddar. Unlike the Starbucks egg bites, Tim Hortons mini omelettes seem to be fried or baked. Their exterior isn’t as smooth, but they have more of an egg-like texture rather than the almost bouncy pudding-like texture that Starbucks egg bites seem to have from sous vide cooking. The cheese and spinach bites had a more subtle taste, but they were delicious. Not bad for about $3!
