This newcomer in Jaya One is one to look out for! Sporting pink neon lights and fancy garden chairs, the space look fit for an after-work treat. (Although food’s a tad cheaper between 12-3pm if you can sneak in a long lunch!)

The recommended tonkatsu curry sounded odd, considering we were expecting Thai. But the Thai touch on the Japanese dish is tastefully done! Pork katsu is delicious, with a balanced fat-to-meat ratio and enough crispy batter to hold it together. This gets dipped into the spicy aioli and the runny but flavourful Thongchai’s curry. Served with Thai jasmine rice and clear soup with a meatball, this meal hits the spot.
