Boasting a plethora of sedap Western-Asian dishes ranging from Makcik-styled zi char delights with Asyura Paste to traditional pulled tea and roti prata from Mr Teh Tarik, this is a wonderful makan place that every foodie should explore. Some of the sedaplicious dishes that I have tried are:
1) Pisang Goreng Unicorn with Ice Cream (S$8.90): A colourful and photogenic fruity dessert that is very popular with children and adults.
2) Blossom Truffle Salmon Prata (S$6.90): An artisanal prata consisting of truffle, yogurt, smoked salmon, red onion and fresh dill. A novel and interesting way to serve this well-loved Indian flat-bread.
3) Smoked Duck Lemak Chili Padi Pasta (S$11.90): Spicy and lemak, this tasty Asian fusion pasta dish gets a big thumbs-up from everyone at the dining table.
4) Padprik Minced Beef Rice (S$7.90): Pad Prik is a Thai phrase which means stirfry (pad) and chili (prik). This dish consists of minced beef, fragrant rice, sunny side up, broccoli and carrot. Be warned, the spicy minced beef is so flavourful that one may just end up polishing off everything on the plate.
5) Teh Tarik (Hot)(S$1.50): The famous pulled tea from Mr Teh Tarik, the humble pushcart stall that started out in 2004 at Far East Square. LOVE IT!
