I am usually afraid of cakes with thick mousse layers as I am afraid of the heavy oily feeling I get from the whipped heavy cream.🤔 However, the luscious creamy texture of the chocolate mousse layer simply won me over! 💕 The rich chocolatey taste transported me to a blissful land of chocolate, making this an awfully indulgent treat. 🍫🍫🍫 Liked that it was not overly sweet, while the banana slices embedded in the mousse render that irresistible natural sweetness that takes your focus away momentarily. 🍌

The chocolate sponge layer was equally well-done. Being not overly crumbly, sufficient soft & moist, it complements the smooth mousse layer really well. 😋 A top layer of dark chocolate ganache adds a classy finishing touch, adding a nice gloss to this slice. 😍😍😍 The intense cocoa flavours also lingers in your mouth for a long time, which I particularly enjoyed. 👍🏻

Certainly a decadent slice! 🤤 Now I know why Coffee Bean cakes rank top in my mum’s to-go place for cakes - they have never disappointed us & never fail to impress. 💯
