Led by experienced kushiyaki chef Norio Koike, the new grill and bar along Jalan Telawi promises fantastic skewers and that, it delivers. The unagi (RM25) is presented with in a dark and gorgeous manner and the same can be said of its taste — delicately sweet and salty, with a moist tenderness. Also gather courage to attempt the uncommon parts like bishop's nose (chicken rump), chicken gizzards or perhaps the easily loved chicken skin. There's no better place than this to be a little adventurous. Koike Shoten is also one of the rare spots that serve free-range chicken sashimi (RM25) and it's absolutely safe to eat. Or so I heard haha.
