@gelatolabo opened in a brave new age, right as CB hit, but glad to see they have ridden out the storm! This tiny store has some pretty hip vibes and features botanical themed flavours like Apple & Dill, Shioso & Yuzu but I was super intrigued by the seasonal Sakura Smoke Artichoke & Pear Compote flavour. An almost savoury ice cream, the smoked notes really stood out, almost like bacon with soft floral notes. Loved that it wasn’t sweet and their playfulness with the different flavours really shone through. Only thing is that the ice cream texture could do with a little tweaking as it was a little crumbly.
