Absolutely delighted to have this brand new Vietnamese noodle joint open up near my office. I had the $8.90 Special Beef Combo Soup which comes in a hefty bowl. I found the soup to be delicate and sweet, and the ingredients, fresh. Big eaters will appreciate that they're generous with the rice noodles too. An interesting touch was the accompanying small bowl with what looked like a semi-raw egg floating in soup. It must've been dropped in just before serving. Spicy food-loving customers have a choice of chillis to heat up their noodles to their liking. The decor here is worth a mention. It's a recreation of the side streets of Hanoi with stenciled phone numbers covering the wall (it seems that this is how the city's craftsmen advertise their services over there). Wires strung along the top with naked lightbulbs and the melodious chatter of the Vietnamese staff help to enhance the concept further.
