Not to be confused with the nearby Fong Lye Taiwan Fusion Cuisine Restaurant, this tea house serves up an mouth-watering variety of set meals inspired by Taiwanese cuisine. This is our favourite set meal at Fong Lye. The prawn and water chestnut rolls are always delightfully plump and delicious and the 'lu ro fan'(minced braised pork rice) is very authentically taiwanese. The side dishes and the soup accompany the meal well and they change frequently so you never get bored ordering a set meal here. You are definitely getting your money's worth here even though the prices have gone slightly higher over the years. The service is prompt and effective as usual and while it does get very crowded during peak hours and days, you should be able to get a seat after 15 minutes of waiting. I would rate this 9/10.
