Bara chirashi don ($22)
⭐️ 4/5 ⭐️
🍴Relatively unknown Japanese restaurant in the Northeast serving classic Japanese fare at decent prices. It was an enjoyable bowl with a good variety of cubed sashimi (salmon, tuna, yellowtail, squid) mixed with tobiko, ikura, cucumber and tamago atop soft Japanese rice. Also liked the little bits of sweet-sour pickled mushrooms that provided a refreshing bite.

While the pieces were fresh, did find the tuna to be on the softer mushier side, while the squid was more chewy. Their chirashi is served with salad, chawanmushi, and miso soup, making this pretty good value! Especially enjoyed the smooth and light chawanmushi while their classic miso soup provided a warm and comforting balance.

Overall, would stick to the likes of House of Chirashi or Omote but this is a great option when in the area and craving sashimi.
