Inevitably, comparison will have to be made against tendon ginza itzuki. I preferred tendon ginza itzuki because:
- the rice at kohaku is too wet
- uneven batter and burnt chicken at kohaku
- crab stick?!?!
- small prawns were given, which was coated by a thick layer of batter
However, it does have a few redeeming qualities. Service was top notch, as they replaced my burnt chicken without question when I pointed it out. Slightly better ventilation than itzuki where you don't leave the place smelling like a tempura. More comfortable to queue as it's located inside a mall.
It's not bad if you're looking for a decent bowl of tendon, but if you've had itzuki before, you'd be left slightly disappointed.
