Comnam is the sister outlet of the expanding Namnam noodle bar chain. This probably tells you two things for sure- decent quality and pocket-friendly prices. However, I must admit the service here is less than decent and leaves a lot more to be desired. But who is to complain when your rice bowl of goodness is less than $15. I ordered the rice bowl with lemongrass pork and pork rib and the marinated meats were flavourful and perfect when paired with the broken rice which absorbs the accompanying gravy like thirsty hippo (bad reference I know). The heavy flavour of the meats were balanced by the provision of refreshing pickles and veggie. I also had the steamed rice dumplings thing which had the texture of 水晶包 and the other one was like a cross between Otah and Chwee kueh. Worth trying if you want something new but taste wise, it's more of acceptable rather than exceedingly good.
